guessing game

gosh i am popular, my internet was down all morning

so before class i spent 2 hrs in the cable companys store yelling to them, finnally got them to give me a new modem for free!

so its working now, but the NEW wirless router they gave me isnt working, so when i got str8 from modem to my comp, its ok and working, but from modem>router>comp its not. and there are 2 other comps here that need the wirless internet, gotta find out what is wrong.

all the lights say its working...any ideas?

i hate wireless modems. sell it on ebay and get a wired one. then hook the new router up to the wired modem and enjoy your internets. lol

Or just go back and tell them they are douchebags and demand a wired router. OR you could attempt to connect all the computers to the supposedly wireless modem. but it'd probably freak out and kill it's self...which might be a good thing?

no, the router is NEW, and WIRED to the modem, and then it sends the internet to the two other comps, via wireless signal, if thats what you mean.

did u try copying the MAC address of ur comp to the router?
sometimes the cable company locks the ip with a specific mac address
